Privacy Policy

Your photos and your rights

Your photos are used only to fulfill your custom order and kept in restricted private storage. You retain your rights in your photos. We will not publish them on our website, social media or ads without your separate explicit permission. Marketing permission is optional and never required to order.

The required order consent allows Amy to review and fulfill your request using your contact details and uploaded image. It is not permission for public display, advertising or marketing. No marketing permission is selected by default or bundled into submitting an order.

Information we collect

Custom orders collect your name, email, phone number, product and quantity, personalization choices, notes, optional uploaded photo, pickup or shipping choice, and a shipping address only when shipping is selected. We record your order number, estimated pricing, required consent and policy acknowledgment with version and time. Amy may record order status, fulfillment notes, carrier and tracking details, and manual Square transaction references and payment reconciliation. This website request form does not collect card information or payment.

Contact inquiries collect your name, email, product choice, personalization request, desired date and optional image. Please include only information and photos needed for your request.

How information is used and shared

We use information to review requests, prepare personalized orders, discuss proofs and pricing, arrange appointment pickup or shipping, provide support, and keep necessary business records. New saved orders trigger an owner alert and a customer confirmation email. These are operational messages, not marketing permission. Order notification emails contain a limited order summary, not uploaded photos or sensitive shipping addresses.

Information is processed by service providers supporting website hosting, Lovable Cloud storage and owner sign-in, and managed transactional email delivery. Inquiry emails may contain your request details and a temporary private image link for Amy. Business email providers also process correspondence. Shipping information needed for delivery may be shared with the selected carrier or shipping service when Amy arranges shipment. Square processes payments separately when used; this website records manual references, not card data. Third-party service processing is necessary to operate these services.

Restricted access and security

Uploaded customer images are stored privately, not in a public photo gallery. The order dashboard, order photos and addresses require authorized owner access. Order image viewing uses short-lived links; anyone given such a link may be able to view it until it expires, so it should not be shared. Owner sign-in uses session storage or cookies as needed. Abuse protection uses limited hashed request identifiers and technical records. Hosting and email services may process technical logs and delivery records. These safeguards reduce risk but cannot guarantee absolute security.

Retention and privacy requests

Our target is to remove stored custom-order photos 90 days after an order reaches completed status, unless a legitimate legal or dispute need requires retention. Reopening an order resets the completion date; completing it again starts a new 90-day period. Active or held orders are excluded. Historical orders without a reliable completion timestamp require individual review rather than automatic deletion.

Automatic photo deletion is not active. Eligible photos currently require Amy’s secure manual cleanup; any scheduled check is non-deleting. Removal clears the stored order photo reference and records a private cleanup audit while preserving the order and bookkeeping data separately. No fixed retention period has been established for those records, contact-inquiry images or correspondence. Expiration of an image link does not delete the stored image. Email copies, service logs and backups may remain under provider retention practices, and the target is not a guarantee that every copy is deleted on day 90.

To request earlier photo deletion, access, correction or discuss photo privacy, email hello@amesmadegoods.com. Amy may need to verify your request and identity. Earlier deletion requests are reviewed subject to legitimate legal or dispute needs and applicable law; immediate or complete deletion of every copy is not guaranteed. Your applicable privacy rights remain protected.

Marketing and text messages

Ordering does not enroll you in marketing or authorize publishing your photos. Any marketing or public-photo permission must be requested separately and explicitly agreed to, and declining must not prevent your order. Automated SMS alerts are currently disabled.
